Define your genre in five words or less:Flip flop rock and roll
How long have you been writing and playing music? Was there a song or moment that first inspired you?I went to my first gig when I was 3 months old. Genesis at Knebworth. It must have been a great gig, I don't remember anything
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?If I could travel back in time I would be far too awesome to need approval from my musical heroes, although I would do my best to keep Jimi Hendrix alive.
What are your favourite venues? My current favourites to play are High Tea and the Manly Fig in Sydney, the Butterfly Club and Melting Pot in Melbourne and the Joynt in Brisbane. I also love the Metro and the Enmore in Sydney and the Brixton Academy in London.
What are your top 5 favourite albums?Frank Zappa – Apostrophe/ Overnite Sensation The Beatles – Abbey Road Marvin Gaye - What's Going On? Jimi Hendrix – Axis: Bold as Love Van Morrison – Astral Weeks
What is your most memorable gig (playing or watching)?Pink Floyd at Earls Court, giant mirror ball drops from ceiling during half hour long guitar solo and unfolds into an even more giant mirror ball with two giant mirror balls hanging off it which are then hit by lasers. Ridiculous!
Where do you usually draw inspiration from as a writer? Do you have a process? eg music first, lyrics first etcCoffee first. Sleep later
