urban folk songstressHow long have you been writing and playing music? Was there a song or moment that first inspired you?
I have been playing music since I was little. I started out in the local brass band in grade 2 on the tenor horn and it has been a constant part in my life since then. I have flirted around with many instruments, but my particular loves are the guitar and the French Horn. My first song that I wrote was for my primary school house to sing at the House music festival.. It was a completely cringey thing on the piano with full glockenspiel and vocal accompaniment. Even then I was all about the story, telling people that 'if we are all friends the world won't seem so dark anymore'..... blargIf you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
oooo thats a tricky one. I love Melanie and I have permantly borrowed my mum's vinyl copy of her album so that would be sweet, but also.. Freddie Mercury, I mean I would just play one thing and then sit back and listen to him. What are your favourite venues?
anywhere with live music and a beer gardenWhat is your most memorable gig (playing or watching)?
Playing in an Orchestra on top of a the Austrian Alps to open the Summer Solstice. So... Amazing... so much beer, food and music on top of the world. Plus lederhosen, lots of lederhosen
