RICK HART & THE SWEET ADDICTIONS are back at The Retreat Hotel this coming Saturday afternoon at 5 PM for a free show. Rick Hart has received consistent critical acclaim for his deep lyrical content and expert songwriting. A former winner of the Australian Songwriter’s Association’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award, you know this recommendation of Rick Hart has got the credentials to be one of the top gigs in Melbourne this coming week!

Greta is dear to Melting Pot’s heart as she is one of the artists to have come through our previously run Open Mic nights to go onto bigger and better things! Check her out for yourself, and try and tell me that you aren’t impressed!

TEX PERKINS is no stranger to the Melbourne music lover’s catalogue. He brings his latest project, Tex Perkins’ The Ape, to The LuWOW this Saturday night, launching the 12″ vinyl ‘Give In’. He’ll have support from the incomporable Kim Salmon and party band stalwarts, Frankie Wants Out.

THE TASTE OF INDIE COLLECTIVE hosts a unique independent music event this Friday night at The Brunswick Hotel. Singer/Songwriters take the stage presenting their songs in a different format, backed by a house band. Completely unrehearsed and with only chord charts to go off – house band ‘Collective Action’ bring these usual solo artists’ songs to life!
Saturday’s lineup includes Josh Forner and Jonathan Shaw.
